I can vouch for the colour Val, I live the other side of Stach Poll up the coast and on a bright summers day the sea is that blue where I live too. Lovely painting, lovely subject.

Thank you Fiona. You are so lucky living in such a beautiful part of Scotland. We visit the west coast most years and Inverness several times a year. We will be there again this summer so I'm hoping for more sunny days like this one last year. Fingers crossed.

I was here last year and the colours were the same. You've made a lovely job of this one. Going up that way in April - lucky Fiona

Wonderful colour and view!

Thank you for your comments on the 'blackface' sheep Val. I notice on this painting your beach is pink sand, the village where I am the sand is pure white...looks like the med on a good day! Although a few miles away at a place called Clashnessie the sand is pink as this one is. Hope the weather is good to you when you next visit, that will mean more great pictures like this one.

Val, this is really gorgeous! I love the atmosphere that you've conveyed, and the colors and the way you've managed to hold the viewer's eye with such a simple composition. It's a gem!

Wish I were there. Wonderful colours and the distant hills are beautiful .

Thank you all for your lovely comments.

The colours just jump out at you! Lovely

Great colours and vouched for too. : )

Another view of Stac Polly, a mountain in Wester Ross Scotland, painted from Mellon Udrigle beach. As you have probably guessed I love colour so perhaps you should don your sun specs to view this one! LOL Having said that the sea really was that lovely shade of blue the glorious sunny day I was there last summer. C & C very welcome.
