I love this and am staying somewhere similar at the moment. I’d been eyeing up the white wall which is on the balcony and beautiful shadows appear every so often. I just have my pencils and watercolours with me but I’m aiming to do something similar.

THANK YOU ALL for your lovely comments. Shadows and light have been a them running through my work for the past few years. I find it fascinating and you all often find me looking at walls - but don't panic, I'm just studying the shadows and abstract shapes that are formed.

On my visit to Kalymnos in September 22. I stayed in a hotel covered in bougainvillea. My small patio outside my studio room was a delight. This is painted in oils on a stretched fine linen canvas.
