Podi Lawrence

Biography

I started drawing and painting at a very early age and it has continued to be a big part of my life. After a foundation course at the Harrow School of Art (now middx Uni) I re-learnt, and re-learnt until I found my genre - my love of studying people. A residency with the Wycombe Swan Theatre was followed by one with the English National Ballet, and later, and for 10 more years, with the Waterloo Jazz Festival in Canada. I gained a certificate in Adult Education in 1988 and have run classes, demonstrations and holidays since then in England, France, Canada and Panama. I now offer 1:1 tuition for serious students at my studio in Portland. And painting trips to the island of KALYMNOS in GREECE IN SEPTEMBER.
