I like the shadows here and this little house is so interesting in its ordinariness - well, you’ve made it so.

An appealing and interesting painting - lovely brickwork!

It's a super painting

Lovely shadows and light Peter. Great job on the brickwork.

Super good Peter. The shadows, colours, light and those bricks are wonderful. I also like that bottle(?) in the window in the wall, curious.

Wonderful feeling of sunlight, love the brickwork. As Marjorie has said, an ordinary scene made so interesting.

Beautiful painted, great subject.

Wonderful light in this and love the brickwork on the front wall.

Wonderful shadows.

I like the dead-pan reality of this - convincingly normal yet somehow mysterious.

Lovely colours and interesting angles. You've painted the shadows beautifully.

A super painting Peter. The brick work and the shadows are excellent.

Great shadows and brickwork. Like the "sharp" presentation (in my terminology).

Super, eye catching painting. Love the variations of colour in the house walls.

The colours in that grey are wonderful!

Very well observed. Love the wall.

Such an interesting picture, Peter. I can look round and round it, and it makes me smile.

This is a watercolour of a house in Hornsea (East Yorks). I was walking past one day as the sun shone and just had to take a photo as reference for a painting.
