This is lovely stuff, great colour combinations and placing of the trees and the little folly. (I think it's a folly!) I love these panoramic scenes, I must buy a canvas and have a go, I'm inspired...

Lovely atmosphere Pat I like this one.

Pretty colours in the landscape Pat! The trees are brilliant, their branches look to be dancing in the wind.

It's the detail in the branches that lifts this - one of those occasions when less is NOT more.

I'm really pleased with everyone's comments. Thank you so much The tree branches were a bit tedious to paint but overall it didn't take long. The canvas is a re worked old painting originally done with a knife, but pleasingly it gives texture when painted over with yellow. The building is a disused mill and Beverley Westwood is an area of common land with a golf course, and areas used by grazing cows and dog walkers. The far distant building is Beverley Racecourse.

This is smashing Pat.....love the yellow and greys, your trees are fantastic. I was about to ask if you had used texure paste on this then read your comment above. I have a few paintings that have a texture from a painting underneath!

Well it was nearly a folly! love it.

Beautifully painted, love the mood of the piece!
