Tulips

Your tulips put my lilies (next door) to shame! Lovely painting Pat which has made me realize that I'll have to try again. lol

I prefer to paint flowers from life as well and these are beautiful. I like the touch of the one that's completely open in the centre of the painting, makes it more real somehow.

There's a lot of movement in the painting because some of the flowers have drooped - I think it looks very attractive as a result. I've got some droopy tulips still waiting to be painted, reckon I've got another day's grace but I did take some photos first. Mine won't be as colourful as yours as they are white. But I love the colours of yours.
