Arab Woman after JSS. by Denise Cat
I've been working in oils the past couple of weeks and wanted to get some practice with watercolours today. I love this particular watercolour by John Singer Sargent. He did it on his travels and it was apparently unfinished. What I like in the real painting, is how he suggest's the folds in the fabric. Why it was unfinished. Was he rushing home for tea. Who knows. Limited palette.
