Superb, Denise!!

Saw it on the forum Denise, like everything about it and that metal cross is such a good additional piece of imagination

Stunning work Denise.

Well painted but would cause quite a fuss in some circles!

This would certainly be a talking piece Denise. Satisfying to finish what you set out to do, good to push yourself.

A real eye catcher, Denise. Well done!

Thanks very much for your kind comments David, Heather, Chris, Stephen, Marjorie and Mia.

It's turned out really well, the face in particular is very well done and you've captured a look of resignation brilliantly (hope that was the intention).

Watched its progress on the forum. This is very well painted Denise. Love the final touches.

Absolutely brilliant, this is really well painted Denise and good for you for sticking at it. It’s certainly worth the time spent on it , good to cause ripples occasionally it’s art and not a new religious concept.

Stunning! It’s good to turn art on its head and break expectations.

Great title Denise...impressive.

Your comments are very much appreciated Andrew, Christine, Paul, Spencer and Sylvia.

I think it's great Denise

Great, thoughtful painting Denise.

Bold and thought provoking Denise

Great piece of art Denise, beautifully painted.

This is certainly out of the ‘box’, Denise. Very thought provoking and beautifully painted.

It is very brave painting, as the subject is of sensitive matter in here. I'm always avoiding any sort of religion arts, but portrait of Jesus is very tempting ;) I like this art a lot Denise! It's so original, well painted and executed - you've impressed me.

This is very accomplished. The woman on the cross (never seen that before), barbed wire and metalwork cross make it very modern and relevant.

I'm calling this one finished. I'll leave it to dry for a few weeks, I might soften the background up a bit but time to move on. I think I'm fairly happy with it.
