Humming Bird.

NOT an easy subject - don't know about 'light', but I expect you were referring to the mood rather than the execution. I've not painted anything in about a week, either - other than a rather basic C'mas card which scarcely taxed me! I must follow your example, arouse myself from the festivities (basically eating, drinking, smoking, and reading lots of books) and get cracking again.

Thanks Robert, I've been itching to paint all week but Christmas got in the way, I think I may get visitors later so I've been rushing today because I just couldn't go another day without painting something. I'm sad, I know.

Denise, you're NOT 'sad', you're devoted. Never be ashamed of that, or apologize for it. Mind - don't be ashamed to take a break, either! As W C Fields said "if in doubt, try, try and try again. After that, give up: no sense being a damn' fool about it..."

Love the delicacy of the colours and washes Denise. Sometimes life just gets in the way and we’re unable to do what we want because of family commitments. It won’t be long now before we can resume creativity and lose ourselves in the world of art.
