Great job here Denise! I knew that you’d like them…

You’ve caught the surface sheen beautifully

Great sketch ... look forward to more

This is super, Denise. Well done. I am looking out for more beauties.

Excellent sketch Denise, I’m looking forward to seeing more.

Terrific sketching Denise.

Thanks very much for your comments Alan, Martin, Heather, Mia, Paul and Chris.

Great sketch, Denise.

Lovely sketch

Really good Denise 😊

Excellent sketching Denise, the composition and tonal range is so good.

Super sketch Denise. Is it red? I had a lovely red one that vanished....

Good job - and you can use water with them - you've got a good range there, I've only Bs and one whose grade has long since rubbed off the wood, but is probably 2B. I was drawn to them when an artist told me "they're very flattering to your technique": oh good, I thought, that's just what I'm after! That wasn't the lesson she wanted to teach at all, but I've never seen the point of flagellating yourself with materials which fight you all the way to the finishing post.

That's a great sketch Denise.

A great sketch Denise and I like the shine you have achieved.

Much appreciated and thanks, Ellen, Lynda, Stephen, George, Russell, Sylvia, Christine, Collette, Robert, Val and Carole. I thought about what you said in the forum Robert, regarding using water with them. I wanted to try them in their purest form first but I will definitely be trying them with some water.

Such a super drawing Denise!

Brilliant drawing, I could pick this up out of the picture!

Great job Denise!

Lovely sketch 🙂💖

I finally got a chance to try my new Wolff's carbon pencils out tonight. The pack contained a B, 2B, 4B and 6B. I did this quick sketch and I really like them. I will be using them to do a more detailed landscape this week. I must thank Alan as he recommended them and they are super pencils to work with. They blend well and I see they will create good tones with a more detailed sketch.
