I thought I would try and do myself as a cast. It was fun but very challenging. Oil on linen. Limited palette. Soft White, Burnt Umber, Raw Umber and Ivory Black. 20 x 16 inches. A big thanks to Alan, who I sent a couple of images of the painting as I was going along and he encouraged me to keep going. I added a bit of glazing in some areas this morning and took a photo in good natural light just now.
