A lovely portrait of a happy cat!Beautifully painted.

Oh this is lovely, a very comfy cosy cat..lovely wide eyed alert expression. Delightful.

A cat, from our queen of dogs, whatever will Sky and Poppy say?!! Great work Diana, even the perspective of the paw coming out towards us is spot on. Lovely fur and markings on the cat and very realistic folds in the cloth. I can almost hear him/her purring with contentment.

Well the dogs haven't complained yet LOL but the owner and photographer has gone absolutely crazy about it. I only painted it for myself as I loved the colours so much but when the Post Office opens again it's on it's way to Canada where the cat "Simon" lives. He definitely looks to be in charge of his special spot doesn't he?

A very haughty kitty. He certainly knows his place.... And yours. Lovely. Also the beautifully restrained palette

A beautiful painting - love everything about it, well done Diana

So good Diana, you are so versatile with your flowers, pets and portraits. Love the fur and the soft cushions also the for-shortening of the paw. Great combination of your limited palette!

Wow Diana, stunning! I am amazed you only used so little colours, what an array to get from sepia and paynes grey, simply wonderful.

Definitely 'Lord Muck'......what a fabulous portrait Diana with only two basic colours.

Thank you all so much. I've been in rather a wilderness re painting for the past 12 months and am so pleased I seem to have got my mojo back.

Absolutely super, Diana - love the expression of the kitty and the folds of the rug.

Many thanks Seok

Love this painting - it's good to see depth of colour in watercolour.

Thanks you LInda; after the folds ofthe fabric, it was the tones that drew me to do this
