Semi abstract winter scene.

It works very well!!

Like this Mike. You don’t say what medium it is, can you soften some of the solid areas and edges?

Thank you both. Fiona, it is watercolor. Yes I could, presumably you mean the trees. I just felt the shape looks weird maybe too symmetrical but I will do what you suggest.

The mark making is so effective and it is a lovely painting.

I love monochrome painting and this is done really well, I would look to soften the trees in the foreground very slightly if your not happy with them as they are.

To be honest Mike you could even try another version and attempt to correct what you feel is troubling you. It may be difficult to soften the paint on the trees if it’s been dry a while, which might mess it up.

Cold, cold, so cold...so very atmospheric.

I like this a lot Mike, clean and very effective

I enjoy monochromes and tried to paint this in a semi abstract fashion. Just indications of part of the landscape with more detailed trees in the foreground. I am not happy with the trees, they look strange. Thoughts and comments?
