I'd be tempted to add something too, but - maybe the best advice would be: don't! I think it works perfectly, and I like the humour of it; it's fresh, clean, makes its point. Excellent!

I agree with the above Michael, I think I would leave it as it is.

Beautifully executed as usual, Michael, but to me it looks slightly incomplete with without shadows of the trees on the left?

Thanks as always everyone for your kind comments - I did feel something was missing but couldn't see the crowd for the people - I agree on reflection that it would be a shame to get fiddly but you are right Ann - perhaps just the suggestion of shadows from the trees would help.

I like this painting too Michael! It's very sunny and the building is beautifully drawn and painted. The pose of the ladies is so typical for a gossip, you have captured them ever so well.

Thanks Denise and Satu - glad you like it - I do like reducing objects to basic forms and shapes and, although I enjoy it in the work of others, I do try to avoid too much detail and that's what I tried to achieve here.
