Lot of movement here, strong colours. There's a girl running in a crowd with her ponytail flying. Smashing Michael!

Well the signature is important Michael! :) Lovely ,like a print.

I'm enjoying them, keep going a bit longer, your developing your style well Michael.

Yes Michael great journeys into the language of colours and texture a very attractive piece. If you have room go for a big one

Thanks all. Yes Carole, there was print involved in this. I paint on a sheet of paper and then press towelling onto it . I then have two opportunities: (1) the original painting is left with interesting textures and (2) I can take a reverse print from the towelling by pressing the paper down on the towelling. This was done by the latter method to which I added the prominent marks in dark brown (it looks black on screen) and the red.

Great technique, thanks for sharing, I think I see chimney pots!

Thanks for that Michael, never thought if towelling!

I can see Toreadors with their red capes swirling, Michael!

I think it's the 'open to interpretation' aspect that can make abstract so interesting, and makes you want to study the painting longer while you work on the interpretation. This is one of your best abstracts, Michael. Very nice indeed!

My imagination is probably running wild, but it looks like a row of speed skaters about to take off, Michael.

I like this, great colour and dragging techniques. Interesting and has impact, Michael

That could well become your Golden period, who knows ;)

Excellent Michael, I can see you are having fun with your abstracts.

Yes they are great fun and no limitations - you can just go as the mood takes you. Your kind comments are much appreciated everyone.

This technique works really well Michael, I like the space you create by leaving the un-painted areas as well as the painted.

I'm liking your new abstract period Michael! Interesting to read how you produced this, it sounds a lot simpler than the Gelli plate that I have been struggling with. Hope you used an old towel!

You've probably guessed it - I'm in an abstract mood at the moment - here's today's offering - frame size 12 by 12 ins - must start working larger - you'll note I've left plenty of room for my signature!!
