Well you did a pretty nice thing here. Way better than those art farty folks!

I invented the title and was going to offer a toffee to the first person who could tell me what it means - and then I looked it up to discover it reallydoes have a meaning - so I'm going to eat the toffee myself.

I love abstracts and this is superb Michael, how good does it feel to have no restrictions on your subject and style, great colours.

I can tell you enjoyed painting this one Michael - love those slashes of green!

Your toffee contest rules are very unfair. I want a toffee too!

You turned out a very nice picture wherever it came from Michael this one is striking and I like it

Thanks all - glad you all like it - yes it's quite liberating to be just concerned with manipulating colour - I've done a few more which I'll post over the next day or so - bees permitting!!!

Love it Michael.....concentrated colours at the top and that empty space to show it off.

Come on then, what does peravented mean? And where did you find it?

Interesting image, also the mechanical surface of the paper is interesting.

It's got the lot the real deal Michael

The texture was achieved bt placing towelling over the paint and gently pressing down - as for the word I invented it and having posted it I then googled it and to my surprise I found found it somewhere way down the pages as meaning 'before advent' - but I'm darned if I can find it again. Anyway in view of this I added 'ed to the end of the word by editing the posting - so it is certainly now original so no definition and no toffee (anyway I've eaten it!).

I like it Michael , good strong tones and colouring ..... I nearly said ........ skilled juxtaposition of shape and colour displaying strongly the artists organic relationship with the world .... you gotta love those arty farty types :)

This sooo positive I love it Michael!

Strong and interesting abstract. I also like the way it fades from dark to light from top to bottom.

Not any pressure on me at the moment to churn out village scenes so enjoying myself with acrylics where I can paint from inside rather than what is outside - gosh I'm beginning to sound like one of those pretentious arty farty types. Acrylic on board - glass size 12 by 12 ins.
