A Basket Of Wool

Lovely. both colourful and lively.The balls of wool look really "woolly".

Excellent first painting! Difficult subject as well - it would have scared me to death if I had to do this as a first attempt! Lovely fuzzy wool, great colours and composition. I can see that the talent was there from the onset and your 'gung ho' bravery at tackling anything was also evident right away. Treasure this one, Max.

This was my first painting as i stated......the teacher had drawn the basket of wool and we had to draw it then paint it using our own colours........this was my version. Yes i shall treasure it Thea being it was my first attempt........i enjoyed doing it. Beatrice the medium was watercolour. The featherlight touch was applied which gave the wool its look.

Well Max if this is your first painting ever I'm sooo impressed..how wonderful beautiful subject but difficult but you made it your own...lovely colours and yes the wool looks wooly could pick it up and knit with it

Patsy you are to kind, The art teacher drew the basket on a blackboard & we had to copy it then paint it in our own style, filling it with our imaginary wool......this was my attempt at it as you can see.

Hi, Max. Thanks for your comments on 'One Small Step'. This is nice - agree with everyone else. Your art teacher got the subject from a book, a copy of which I have, but you have done as much justice to the subject as the artists in the book did.
