This is much better with the stronger sea colour. Just one thing, your two moored boats are wrong, especially the left one. You would see it foreshortened from that angle. This looks as if it's standing on end. Your mooring lines also need to be thinner and curved. Try to keep your main subject in stronger colours and others further back in paler colours; same with the land- strong at the front and paler as you go further back. May I suggest this website for some instructional pieces. http://www.johnlovett.com/class.htm There are lotsof otehrs especially on You tube that show how to paint watercolours.

Lovely blue sea! I think that landscapes involving sea and boats are some of the most difficult to do (hence I don't do many!!). I like the way you have positioned the left hand boat just into the painting which draws you in. I know what Diana is saying about background and foreground colour and tone. However, I often break this rule as it depends what I am trying to say in a painting - so although she is absolutely right - you don't have to get too hung up on this. Breaking the rules is often what makes a painting more exciting I think. The sky has all those lovely colours that you are getting so good at using. The two little boats might need a tweak on the perspective front - but don't get too bothered about it as this is a charming painting with lovely colours. (I have to work very hard at perspective as I think I must have dodgy eyes as I can't work it out sometimes)!

Thank you Diana & Thea. This was one of my earlier paintings & i was just starting out on the painting scene i hope i have improved a little since then with my atmospherics. You have boosted my confidence no end with your comments "Many Thanks"
