Hello Max, this is a stunning piece of work,..one of your best so far, i hope i'm not being a bit dim, that is dimmer than usual !..lol, is it foamy water on the sea ? or foliage on a hillside ? either way,..."it looks like both to my eye ",...how very clever. THAT'S what makes an exstemely exciting and interesting painting,..the fact i keep looking at it, just to see "what" it is. lovelu use of limited colours too,...be proud of this max,...its just lovely. very well done you. Best Wishes Rhian ( irene ) managed to post a very old pic yesterday, but it vanished into my pics of old work lol...glad i caught this one. x

ooooops, ha ha, just read my comment back,....as you can see my spelling hasn't improved by one iota !!! did you all think i had been away having lessons ?....lol

Hi Max, this is a very effective experiment with good results. How did you do the front area?

Hey Max, thank you very much for your comments on my three paintings; much appreciated. I got totally painted out with the village paintings and just had to try something different. I like the three kings best of the lot. I saw this this morning but didn't have time to comment. Never get anything done till after midnight! You've done a good job on the foliage. How did you get the texture in it? It's very difficult to keep a light touch on foliage. Mine still end up as big green blobs. I still wish you'd be more adventurous with colour. Have a go at using deep dense colour one day; just as an experiment. You may like it.

This was an experiment holding the brush upright to the paper & stabbing it with a small brush, carefully blotting it dry leaving a pattern on the paper. Thank you Irene Judith & Diana for your kind remarks. Diana i used a limited pallette with this one in the hope of catching the movement of the water, not sure that i have achieved it.

You certainly have captured the movement of the water...this is a fantastic painting...I agree with all that Irene says

Thank you Patsy for your kind comment
