What a prolific guy you are... I wish I could see it better.

Thank you again for your comments. In this scene i particulary left the sky as it was to give a sunny effect. I don't like the "Muddy" effects in my paintings.

It is good that you have the courage to leave the sky out - I agree with you that it is not always necessary to paint everything and it takes quite a bit of self-control not just to fill everything in willy-nilly - so pat on the back for that. There is something utterly charming about these paintings - the colours, the naive style (meant in a very complimentary way) and the softness of the effect. Have you been painting long - is this a new style - would love to know.

I try to keep my colours bright & not to gaudy. I have been painting for two years hence the collection, i have been attending a local art class for a year. i try to vary my paintings & it's very hit & miss with me at times. Bless you once again.

Hello Max, I like this picture, it's reminiscent of one I did recently in pen & ink with a water colour wash. The thing that bothers me is the foreground. It appears here to be somewhat weak and the strong colour in the area behind the building is giving me the feeling that the picture might topple over. Stronger tones in the water would give it support. Your composition is good.

I am most grateful for your comment's Maureen but i feel that if i put more colour in the foreground i would have lost the boats.....but appreciate your comments nonetheless.

Hi Max, There's a little something for you in my Gallery. Do have a look, see what you think.

Have had a look on your gallery, have left a message there.

OK Max Thank you for the comment and I look forward to seeing your next Seascape/Water painting. I wish you all success. If you have any questions, feel free. I do like to give encouragement. It's amazing how a little constructive criticism can help a person look at things differently and more often than not, it's appreciated and used in improvement. Let me know when you have something to show me. M
