Hi Max just lovely my eyes were drawn to the rocks and spray...I love the colours you use so vibrant but you could be right about the top right hand sky...but as I said I didn't notice until you pointed it out

Yes Max, an unusual colour for the sky. Wet the paper and drop in some Ultramarine for the sky let it run and dry naturally - wet in wet. You can try this with your rocks using raw sienna - burnt sienna, raw umber there are many combinations. Without loosing the freshness of your paintings. Well done keep going. The rocks are very good again, I like the way you use blues in the greens for the water. Yes I agree with Jeanette on the ultramarine.

Hello there, a hat two sizes bigger eh! ..not a good idea if you want to keep it on your head..LOL. no max, i don't have a blog, and wouldn't have a clue how to go about doing it, allthough i know you have to register, but don't understand the thread ...talk..and...links.!!! ect. see,..i really am a dim-wit.!..besides who on earth would want to listen,..or read my daft ramblings.?.. i'm bad enough on here..!!! well done, betty for using the computer, my other cannot use one either, so i guese..us ladies are,...more, technically minded.!!! oops" (did i spell that right ? ) its nice to see the person you are chatting to, i would think it a great idea, if there was a place on this site for users profiles,..ie, photos of us all, with names.? perhaps max, you could bring the topic up for discussion on your blog.? what do you think.? best wishes to you both. Betty did my blog for me she said it was easy to follow. Will put it to the other people about users profiles & see what they come up with. watch this space.

I think that you really think 'outside the box' when it comes to colour - which is wonderful and makes your work stand out. The colour you have used for the sky is not the normal cobalt or ultramarine, etc. but in using the colour you have, you have made your sky different and made it stand out. I think the strength of colour on the top right adds depth and I like it. Great rocks, great spray and sea. You really know your subject and it shows in the confidence with which you paint your seascapes.
