No - I don't think you have overdone it at all. Great feeling of a big swell in the sea - you can really feel the power of the sea. Love the complexity of the colours in the water. I think this is your best sea painting to date.

I tried to give the effect of a strong swell & hitting the rocks with the spray. Your comment's & others too are giving me renewed confidence, of which i thank you so much.

Nice colours in the rocks and good colour recession into the distance and a definite swell to the sea which makes me quite seasick LOL. Just two points if I may; your horizon isn't quite horizontal and you could improve your clouds by putting shadow in them, especially underneath and softer edges. Try a few practice pictures using wet in wet and just let the paint decide where to go then add the shadows to give form.

Thank you for your comments Diana. This was one of my earlier paintings & i was still trying to improve on my technics, but i am always open to other peoples opinions. I value your advice very much.

Diana has given good advice Max. It makes me feel quite seasick too (never was a good sailor). Well done.

Water is so hard to paint this is lovely you have succeded in showing a swelling sea lovely colours

Thank you Jeannette & Patsy for your comments, i was in the navy & know what it's like to be on a choppy sea.I have two main targets atmosphere & texture i am trying to improve on both. Your comments are most helpful & welcome.
