This almost looks like watercolour pencil. Great texture - spray is absolutely fine - sometimes you only have to hint at something rather than spell it out. Gives the viewer something to do! Just love your work.

This is one of my more dramatic paintings. I wanted to create the atmosphere of a passing storm with the sun returning. I hope i gave this effect. I value your comments immensely Thea.

Thanks for your comments on my painting Max...Much appreciated. Like this one, very dramatic cliffs. I think the spray could have stood out more. Did you use masking? I tend to mask the highlights and dab the surrounding area with tissue, you have to be carefull it doesn't go muddy though (as I have found many times.)

Thank you for your comments on my painting. Yes i do sometimes use masking fluid & then paint over it before lifting it of. I don't alway's get the spray right but i try to give the impression of it. "Cheers"

Well done Max, I think you have captured the storm and the spray of the sea very well. Lovely colours and I like the dramatic sky.

Thank you lorraine. I tried to capture the atmosphere in this painting by darkening the sea & sky to make it look more dramatic.

A4 paper done in watercolour. This was a storm over the sea hence the black sea & dark sky against the grey of the cliffs in the background & rocks in the foreground. Have i done enough spray, perhaps a little more?
