A sunny day on the coast

This is wonderful, Max! The colours are so complimentary, the way you have placed the two red roofs on the left and then mirrored this with the red of the sails on the right - this keeps your eye moving across the painting and then back up to the church hinted in the background. The water is interesting and varied. Really charming work. This style is your forte and when you paint like this it all seems to come together beautifully.

Like the recession. Constable used bits of red to take the eye into a picture.

I really like your sky well done. As Sylvia says the recession is very good. Fresh looking painting.

Once again i would like to thank you all for your kind comments, i must admit this is one of my favourite paintings that i have done i enjoyed doing it immensely.
