I do like this painting of Martins, the colours & tones give it a very spooky atmosphere!

SOMEONE ELSE WHO HAS DISCOVERED JOHN PIPER. Very good.

Thanks James - much appreciated! John - yes indeed, John Piper's work has had a big influence on my own. It has given it a direction and purpose that previously was missing. It also showed me that I was right to follow my gut-instinct in painting the way I wanted to paint. Glad you like it!

Much of the fabric of this little church, including the chancel arch and some of the glass, dates back to the 12th century. Later additions and amendments were made in the 14th century. Now in the care of The Friends Of Friendless Churches. Pen and ink, ink wash with oil pastel and gouache highlights.
