Escaping the heat

Lovely painting

Love the foreground effect you've achieved Marjorie.

Lovely Marjorie 🥰

Love it Marjorie.

A lovely painting Marjorie and really well painted.

I like this Marjorie, very nice indeed

Love how your paintings are taking on indistinct detail, not an easy challenge and extremely effective in creating atmosphere and focusing on the main message. This is obviously not in the U.K. because of the palm tress and strong sunlight streaming through the window. Love how you’ve used a or of blue to contrast the heat.

Lovely. Makes me think of North Devon, for some reason.

Thanks for the comments - started it yesterday and when it dries a bit more will add a bit more colour. It’s further than North Devon, Shirley….San Stefano in Italy ( where Caravaggio is buried).

No, not San Stefano - Porto Ercole! Another senior moment!

Super painting Marjorie!

Super painting, I really like this hazy, blurring, looks interesting.

Very effective back lit composition, Marjorie

I like the way you’ve handled the inside/outside look and feel of heat here Marjorie. Great tones.

Once again a terrific painting Marjorie.

You can definitely feel the heat of the outside compared to the darker interior. Well done.

Thank you all for the comments, Linda, Spencer, Denise, Thalia, Tessa, George, Jaqueline, Michael, Christine and Gudrun….always very much appreciated.

Very wistful and intriguing!
