That sounds really good and challenging Marjorie! You must be delighted with these results.

It was totally absorbing, a study in the morning and in the afternoon, over two days. About 50 of us in the hall, two sitters each session. Amazingly it worked very well, a new initiative locally.I was pleased that I settled quickly and produced something not too bad.

Brilliant Marjorie.

Excellent results Marjorie, I would be so chuffed with just one as good as these all four as superb.

That sounds great Marjorie and excellent results, well done.

A challenge very well met Marjorie, great results!

This sounds very good Marjorie although quite challenging to concentrate over 2 days. Well done for producing such lovely portraits.

Four excellent pictures Marjorie, well done

A fabulous foursome and, my, what a challenge!

Looking again at these Marjorie, and admiring. What medium did you use? Is this going to be a regular event? Sounds as if it was certainly a success.

Thanks for commenting folks. Tessa, the top left and bottom right are acrylic - 40x50cm boards. However, I was almost tearing my hair out at the speed they were drying - could have taken “ extender” fluid but didn’t. So I decided on oils for the second day - bottom left and top right. Much happier! Took home made covers to transport them back. The sessions, over 2 days, were just £25 and were to raise funds for the youth club. Hopefully to be repeated. How lovely it was to paint from live models and, unlike in PA of the Year, no electric gadgets used!

Fabulous portraits Marjorie, they all look superb, and it must have been a great opportunity to paint realism.

Fabulous life drawings, Marjorie.

A very difficult challenge so well met Marjorie. Quite a scary experience I imagine. You managed to capture the essence of the characters superbly

Good results! It must have been exhausting! I know how tired I am after my weekly 2 hour session. There is nothing like a hat to make a portrait stand out!

Well done for having the stamina Marjorie! I only ever participated once in a four hour life drawing session……I was exhausted! Not for me, mainly because I’m rubbish at life drawing, I just can’t get it 😂 Terrific result.

Just seen these Marjorie. Great result considering the time frame and I suppose you couldn’t get very close in view of the number of artists which is something I find difficult in life drawing sessions. Top left is my favourite. The dark background just sets it off brilliantly

Mine too Martin. I’m continuing to work on the bottom left, enjoying it. It’s more of a pose than a portrait. Thanks everyone for looking and commenting.

A two day portrait session. Enjoyable but quite exhausting.
