Thanks both of you. I used "Pastels" app which is free and very simple to use. "Brushes" app is much more complicated and I'm trying to come to grips with it.

Couldn't resist using these vibrant colours in art app "Pastels", which is free . "Artist" and " Leisure painter" featured some excellent apps and I invested in a bamboo stylus. Can't stop enjoying myself!
