I have a little clip of red roses also rescued on my kitchen window! This is gorgeously delightful and delicate Marjorie. Must have taken some patience for the plate especially!

Just wonderful, the whole painting sings for me.

Lovely painting, light and fresh.

Fabulous work Marjorie, lovely light

Thank you very much, Tessa, Katy, Heather and Russell. You know, it's the first time for ages that I've been able to make a start. This situation has really knocked me off balance.

Blue and white works for me. Nice work Marjorie.

The colour of the geraniums works so well with the blues. I like the way that the blooms are described so simply. It’s very effective.

Thanks very much Chrissie.

Chrissie, I like your work very much, it reminds me of Wolf Kahn, whose work I love for its colour.

Wonderful painting, Marjorie. The flowers seem to come out of the painting.

Thank you Cesare. I tried to suggest that. The little flowers have opened now so I'll paint another version.

I can’t do pots like that. Love it Marjorie.

Really nice Marjorie, I like the way it all comes together in shades and the little bird just gives that extra grounding to the colors of the flowers, nice one.

I'm glad you like it Malcolm, it's certainly a far cry from your lakes and fells.😊

Wow, Marjorie, this is a real beauty. The 3D effect on the flowers is remarkable. Top class!

Really like how you’ve painted the plate patterns Marjorie and the lovely soft light on those subtle greys and blues.

Thanks Jennifer and Carole!😁

Beautifully painted as always Marjorie.

Yes I do like it Marjorie and as you say it is a far cry from my Lakes and Fells, but a good piece of art is worth appreciating no matter what the subject I always think and I class things good if the person who did them is happy with them as well as what others think. Plus of course I like your work :))

Lovely study Marjorie. The colour of the flowers add a lovely pop of colour against the blues, and I really like the touch of light on the lip of the jug.

An exquisite piece, Marjorie. Elegant, well composed and that pop of color from the geraniums - such a perfect arrangement!

Thanks again Malcolm and Christine and Seok - it's lovely to take time and see the beauty in the simplest of things.

Sorry Fiona - thank you!

So beautiful Marjorie

Thank you very much, Linda and Anjana.

Absolutely lovely, Marjorie.

Shirley, thank you so much😊

Oil on card, 8"x8", a little piece of geranium which broke off. Couldn't throw it away so it's got a short reprieve in a little jug in the kitchen.
