Thanks Jennifer, I usually do my rocks wet on dry and then scrape off the top layer to produce the effect, rough paper works best I find or at a push NOT .

This work was done from a couple of photos and quick colour sketches I made when coming off the hill one day in the Lakes, not the best rendition of the light but it gives an idea.
