This is detailed for out door work and by the sound of it not an easy task. The things artists do for a good piece of work. This is great. You certainly like the solitude of the mountains and Snowdonia is as beautiful - and commands as many spectacular views I think you would agree - as your native Yorkshire.
I hope to walk some of the Pennine way next year ( paints and faithful dog in tow)
One of the places I will be seeing is the Limestone Pavement above Malham Cove.
Thanks Carol, you are right there is nothing I like more that being alone on a hill (unless of course it's too dangerous), I am quite prepared to spend as long as need be to get what I want from a piece of work depending on how it makes me feel. As for Malham Cove, I hope you are lucky and get the weather but not to many people, I think it is an amazingly atmospheric place in the right conditions and up on the pavements, the little plant communities that grown up there in the channels worn in the limestone are fascinating. I hope you have a great time.

Excellent pen sketch Malcolm, great descriptive marks.

Thanks Fiona, it is a place I truly love especially in Autumn and winter when there are few people around.

Very nice pen and ink work Malcolm.

Thanks Marjorie once again for your welcome comments on my work.

This is the little footbridge into Cwm Idwal in Wales, the view point was acward I had to get down near the water which was deep and fast that day and one foot kept slipping down threatening to take a swim. Cwm Idwal is one of my favourite places especially exiting via the Devils Kitchen at the back.
