A real beauty Malcolm Terrific quality

Thanks Dennis your comment is very much appreciated.

excellent Malcolm looks very cold, the figures are well drawn ,a well painted scene David Harrison

Thanks David much appreciated, yes it was cold to start but it does warm up when the sun hits, but the night before was so cold I made the mistake of not putting my camera batteries for my video camera in my sleeping bag and the cold killed the power, so I only had my still camera after that.

This gives a tremendous sense of scale Malcolm, not to mention cold, vastness, stillness....

Thank you Fiona, it's nice to know you have achieved what you set out to paint, much appreciated. If you could see some of the photos from the different trips, they would really show you the vastness of the place.

This was done from one of my photos when we were coming down from the Hispar Pass in the Karacoram, we had set out at first light and had just stopped to take a drink and shed a layer of clothing. The central mountain was way beyound the pass at the far side of Snow Lake and was were the famous peak the Ogre is, well famous to climbers. We were roped up because of hidden crevasses that you could sometimes tell were there because of the colour of the snow and dips but not always.
