Ah shame, lovely sketch Malcolm :)

Lovely work and great four Malcolm

He does look fed up Malcolm, well drawn.

Thanks a lot Fiona and Dennis.

Wonderful drawing full of drama

Thanks a lot for that Ruthy, it was one of those moments when you wondered, was the bird ok with it being a young one, but it had flown so all was well.

A very nice, well observed piece of work, Malcolm.

Thanks for that observation Chandra, appreciated

I love herons Malcolm, so still! We used to walk by the canal at Nottingham and there was a resident heron along the way. He used to just stand so still waiting for a movement in the water. This just reminded me of him, lovely drawing.

Thank you Carole, yes it is amazing to watch Herons they have the patience of a saint.

Hang on Studio Wall

Third sketch of the burn walk, this young Heron was looking very sorry for its'self sat at the side of the burn, it still had some of its fluffy imature down showing but generally very well feathered, it had flown by the time I returned later in the day.
