Turned out superb Malcolm lovely

Thanks very much for that Dennis much appreciated.

I bet, but this shows your love if your climbing days Malcolm. I like the palette, lovely work.

And what a good 'job done' it is too Malcolm, looks so much different with the foreground added. Like how you have done the shadows and cracks on the rocks...the sky is fabulous too.

Thank you both Carole and Fiona your comments and observations are always appreciated and valued. You are so right Carole, i lived for the mountains and even just to be out on the lower hills was and is always magic and the reason for being to me and if I cannot be on the hills, I live them through painting, drawing and talking about them, I even wrote a book about one of my trips for people to enjoy from their armchairs but never bothered to try and publish it.

What a shame you didn't try to get it published Malcolm. I bet it would have been very interesting reading about your escapades!

I can always print you one off Carole, something for you to read just when you think things could not get worse in your life .😩🔫 joking its not that bad really, or so I am told by those who have read it. It's called ( Dreams and Reality and the bits in between , a Walkers tale of a K2 Dream ) Then again I do not really like to see Ladies suffer lol.

A majestic view! That mountain must have been hard to climb.

Thank you Sarah much appreciated, as for the mountain and its difficulty, as with all hills everything is relative and at times the difficulty can be psychological and of your own making.

So here is the finished painting of the work in progress I posted a few days ago, apart from completing the foreground I have also done more work on the main hill and on the side valleys, job done so to speak. It is a darn site easier painting it than it ever was going up it in winter.

About the Artist
Malcolm Buckley

I have always loved the outdoors and have climbed and walked in various places in the world, after giving numerous slide shows and talks about my trips to raise money for charity, i realised the slides and photos did not do what i saw justice, so I decided to start trying to paint. I am self taught…
