I would take it that Hazel is a she, not a he - just as well she can't read, she might be annoyed by suggestions to the contrary in some of the comments. She's lovely, and this is an excellent portrait.

I was delighted to be asked to paint this little girl for my friend. She provided an excellent reference photograph which made my task very enjoyable. Unison pastels, Caran D’Ache and Faber-Castell Pitt Pastel Pencils on pastelmat.
