Such a different style, Louise, but still with your lovely strong colours.

I must have missed this one this morning as its not in your usual style. I guess its an old one. I like the colours too, especially the very dramatic sky. Thanks for your comments, forgot to mention it was The Old Man of Storr, on Skye thats why its a weird shape, it really does look like that.

Thanks Carole, Jane and Kevin. Kevin, you "miss nothing", you're quite right, it's an old one, one of my oldest! I'm struggling with a painting of puppies at the moment for the POL competition, so this is a welcome distraction for me!

They have puppies in Venice too, Louise - surely you could have included one somewhere LOL!! This is great - strong, colourful, vibrant and lovely and loose - everything I like about a painting rolled into one. I need to take lessons from you about how to be brave with skies - yours are always such a big and interesting part of each of your paintings. It is nice to see a different style from you - keeps us all on our toes!

This is very 'dramatic' Louise and I love the way the sky echoes the canal with very bold colours - bravo!
