glass!

Not the easiest subject to draw or paint for me Louise. I admire you for being brave X At least it stays still not like a cluckin chicken!

Many thanks James and Petra! It was a lot more difficult than that chicken :) I was so concerned with portraying the glass, which I know that I haven't done that well, that I lost sight of the actual shape of the jug! The ellipse isn't right but at least I tried. Glass must be the most difficult thing to paint in watercolour in my opinion anyway. I'd love to see some others here so I can see where I've gone wrong :)

I think you have done a good job with a difficult subject in watercolour. It looks like a crystal jug which is a lot better than I have ever been able to come up with. It has a great 'glass' look with the light and shade and reflections. I think you should be proud of yourself in challenging yourself to do something you find difficult - it has worked out really well.

Well I think you have done incredibly well, it is so obviously a "glass" jug. Apart from the slight hiccup on the elipse it's a perfect glass jug in the inimitable Louise Naimian style IMHO :)

Glass is a subject I would never attempt Louise.....I wouldn't know how to tackle it. Well done to you for having a go, and what a great job you've done of it.

This is beautifully done, Louise. I think you did a great job capturing the gleaming facets of the crystal and also the three dimensional image.
