This is wonderful. I think I can see that you exploring the subject with your previous paintings has made you completely understand your subject and this has resulted in this excellent painting. I love the 'starburst' effect of the grouping of the lillies and your colour palette is delicious. Really well done!

As has been said. Excellent painting with the hint of abstract that you do so well.. As you have said yourself, this is what you were wanting to achieve with your first one ... am I right? Thank you for demonstrating that if the first one isn't right keep going until you achieve what you want.

Have missed this somehow Louise, there is so many postings all the time that one gets lost very easily. I like this painting a lot.( I like all your paintings).The colours are beautiful and the gentle darks between the leaves create a wonderful depth.
