Wellies and mud.. Somebody came up with the idea of umbrella hats which is what these two are wearing. Neat idea I thought!

Well of course, Glastonbury! Great idea - love the idea of shorts and wellies, but then they are definitely needed in all that mud. I love your topical sketches as you always hit the nail on the head with them.

At first glance I thought the umbrellas didn't quite work until I realised they are those those clever umbrella hats! Muddy, uncomfortable, the last place in the world I'd want to be but you make it look fun Louise!

Thank you Michael. I'd thought green wellies and mud would make a good subject for the 'blowing paint' technique. I used the plastic casing from a biro for this as still have no straws which someone here suggested. It's good to try these watercolour techniques out. A mud bath which occurred to me later!
