This is gorgeous Louise! What more can I add other than everything about it works; strong lines and colours.

Brilliant Louise, I think this has to be one of your best ever figure paintings! You need to do lots more of these, it's wonderful.

Love the depth of colour and strong lines in this one Louise but prefer the sketchy delicacy of the first one, they're both very good!

I like the strong lines in this Louise, also the dazzling colour.

Thank you Gudrun, Fiona, Christine and Carole. I'm genuinely interested to hear what you think as painting in inks like this is completely different for me. Neither took very long and a few earlier failures ended in the bin. I posted them both to see which you preferred really as I'll probably put one of them in a black frame/cream mount I have. They're one offs though. What's known as 'happy accidents' really. The ink ran in the right direction and the heavy paper coped well. I'm pleased that I kept trying (this is my 4th attempt today). When a painting idea works, it's the most satisfying, rewarding hobby isn't it!

This will look great framed but so will the other mmmm.......frame both!

Wonderful and the way the paint links the two figures is superb. Added to this, the pen lines are perfect and it is altogether a very accomplished piece of work.

I love this Louise!

Love the lines and vibrant colours. Think I might get my inks out today!

Lovely atmospheric work, Louise!

Lovely Louise!

These are great and wonderfully strong.Ink is really very different to watercolour and does all sorts of things .Quink is also great

Thank you Carole, Dennis, Thea, Karen, Jenny, Linda, Helen, Seok and especially David for giving me the idea to use inks like this. I only had black drawing ink, burnt sienna and orange inks so had to make do with those colours. I shall try Quink as you suggest. The pinky bits are watercolour and a smudge of white gouache was useful for highlighting and covering badly placed lines. Jenny, hope you do, never mind 'might'.. :)

Like it more!!! Reminds me of glass bottles, with a twist, really good!!
