You are so good with these great figures Louise! They are so accurate without being accurate!

Love it - the warm weather comes and then we are treated to a mass of rather wobbly white flesh! Brilliant snapshot of Britain on the beach. Super sketch, Louise, and your first posting on the site - a milestone no less!!

Having just seen the news, thIs is very well observed!

Many thanks Satu, Thea and Petra. I just rushed this off this morning because I wanted to see whether I could post work here easily. I actually copied the figures from a very old sketch book of mine. They were originally sketched from real life, outdoors on the beach in San Sebastian when I was about 20 (some time ago!) I discovered that my drawing technique hasn't changed at all except that I used a pencil then which I never do nowadays which accounts for the inaccurate linework! (lively?..lol) . Feel a lot happier now about the site now I've managed to post work. The images are a lot better and I do like the gallery lay out. Just wish this comment box was bigger and that I'd received an email when I got your comments, which I didn't. I expect all these minor blips will be sorted out. Thank you all again, much appreciated.

Great selection of super studies

Go into Your Account and under one of the preferences you can tick a box which says allow emails. Then you should get an alert when a comment to made on your work. The alerts are gradually improving as the last couple I have got said (although a bit garbled with symbols instead of some of the letters) who made the comment and what it said.

This is such an enjoyable thing to do .. Happy little people .

I've spent the day at West Bay in Dorset and the beach was full of people exactly like this! Brilliantly drawn Louise!
