I always felt sorry for these poor creatures as a child but a very good painting nonetheless David.

I’d like to say it was a painting of times gone by but unfortunately, in some seaside areas you see people parading up and down with animals. You’ve portrayed this scene extremely well David.

A direct watercolour of a Victorian street performer in front of a billboard advertising Crowders Music Hall which later became Greenwich Theatre. Sadly the exploitation of animals, like the monkey in this picture, still goes on in some parts of the world.
