Edinburgh had the good sense to keep a large number of these rather impressive cast iron kiosks, even after the advent of walkie talkies and mobiles. Edinburgh went its own way, not opting for the more traditional 'TARDIS' shape so common in other British cities once upon a time. Who is to say that they got it wrong? Not me.
