Snow Time in Acrylics

Snow Time in Acrylics
Comments

Oh dear! Having posted it, it is obvious that my pristine white snow has come out sort of grey in the photograph. Oh well, use your imagination.

Lionel,, It looks good to me ..I have bought some acrylics but I was never able to conquer them but will try again,...... some times a little is more ,I think its great ,and its so important we enjoy doing it,

I can imaine the pristineness (new word) - worked out really well

It has a palpably lovely atmosphere. Lionel, despite the camera effect. And I love your rendition of the shadows. It brings out the texture of the terrain. I haven't been commenting for a while because I was pretty inundated, so apologies if I missed some of your earlier pieces. I'll get round to it eventually.

It does conjure up the stillness and the "muffle" of a snow scene. Great.

A lovely winter scene, looks so quiet and peaceful

I like the shadows! Thay all help to make this a lovely scene. Glad you enjoyed painting this one :)

Thank you all so much for your encouraging comments. I am going to try and take a better photograph of it.. Thank you so much for taking the time and trouble to not only look but to comment as well!

Alan; here is my version of your watercolour Snow Time rendered in acrylics on canvas board, 12 X 9 inches. There are a number of things wrong with it, not the least being the shadows across the road. But, know what? I am quite pleased with it and have not been happier painting for well over a year. I wonder, which is chicken and which is egg? Happy because it progressed well, or it went well because I was feeling happy painting it?
