In real life, the horizon is not curved - it's the photograph, honestly!

Here is you with your glorious skies again Lionel and this one is a beauty!

Great fluffy clouds, maybe 'cream puffs' then Lionel. The colour shades are very good.

Cotton wool clouds Lionel, remind me of a bright sunny day....where did they go?! Lovely shading underneath which makes them look plump and fluffy.

You've certainly captaured the ephemeral quality of the clouds, Lionel, and I love your palette. Agree with Carole too - your tonal work is spot on. The look like a flock of pudgy birds across the sky, but isn't that the nature of clouds? We conjure up what we imagine them to be, so you've obviously succeeded in capturing that quality as well!

I see what you mean about Ken Bushe's work Lionel....wow, he can paint can't he?! His skies are incredible, lovely colours he uses too. Thank you for your comment on my latest Lionel, I'm always a bit uneasy posting an oil, I don't know what I'm doing with the medium really. I hope you both have a lovely time at Christmas....love Fiona. x

My wife thinks the clouds look like cakes. She may well be right - they certainly looked more like clouds before I started mucking around with it! 10X12 inch canvas board. Believe it or not I quite enjoyed doing this one. So, I'm starting another.
