This is beautifully painted, Lionel! I love the bold, confident brushwork and the lovely sunny palette.

I agree with Seok, this is very nice Lionel, the big sky brings in lots of light.

Lionel this is really lovely. The way you've painted the trees is a real success and I like the composition with the road leading to the buildings in the background. Not to mention that great big sky. So what do you mean we're stuck with this one? Be pleased with it, very ... it's delightful.

I would be more than willing to be stuck with this Lionel. Wonderful confident brush strokes in the tree's and the shadows on the buildings are just right. The sky is big, bright and beautiful!

So glad you are out of the dark place and long may you stay out especially if you continue to produce work to this standard certainly don't mind being stuck with it - keep posting Lionel

Once again, thank you all very much indeed. Your kind comments are much appreciated and encouraging.

Always very glad if I can be of help, and I know that applies to all of us. You're getting confidence back, and it shows in your brushwork - hesitant strokes make unconvincing paintings. Good sense of depth in this one, your painting of trees is coming on all the time, and your palette is fresh, warm, and harmonious.

Thank you again, Robert. Your constructive comments are always appreciated.

First of all, many and sincere thanks to all the POLs who commented on my last few postings, with which I was having difficulties. To Robert Jones, Jane Adams and Karen Charman, thank you so much for your invaluable, technical and technique advice. I will really try to incorporate it into future paintings - meanwhile, you are stuck with this one. To all the rest, how will I be able to thank you for your encouragement and for getting me out of a dark place? A simple Thank You is all I can offer here. This is another After Tom Brown impressionist painting. For my next, I hope to follow Robert's advice and produce something from my own location.
