Ah thanks Tessa, I think I only realized once I got "into it" the risk to overdo the textures and spoil the lovely simplicity of the scene.

I just loved the look of this little scene of pears in a wooden crate while browsing a Sunday market recently. The challenge for me was to depict the different textures of the crate and the skin of the pears convincingly in watercolours.
