Characterful as always. Sketchy! There's lovely detail within, I do like that snail bottom left, wry, Lewis. All the best to your friend with this short story.

Interesting to read about it on the forum Lew, nice to se the sketches on the gallery each is and excellent piece that’s skilfully done.

Enjoying following this on the Forum, who's Agnes? Haven't worked out where she fits into the story.

Always good - will the book be published?

Thanks as always for your comments. I can’t, for now, give the story because I didn’t write it. I will show some ofmy drawings…the plot will thicken.

Love them, especially the bottom left. !!

Nice work Lewis.

Very good and intriguing illustrations!

I too have enjoyed following this on the forum, it's a great idea. I'm not alone in wondering why you've never had your work published in a book well now you have - brilliant!

Interesting project so well drawn Lewis.

Superb artwork as always Lew , hope the finished book will be published.

Thanks folks, for your interest and comments. Some have asked if it’s going to be published, as it’s not my sole decision because I didn’t write the story, that will have to wait til it’s finished. Then we’ll have a chinwag. Initially, the idea was a few photobook style copies, but who knows?

There can be nobody better to have on board when the brief is to illustrate a book -

Always full of interesting and comical details Lewis.

Brilliant....why not slip a chicken into one of your sketches as a kind of visual pun, murder most 'fowl'?

I've been following on the forum Lewis and really enjoy a horror story. Illustrations are great.

I'll be illustrating a friend's book. It's a short story. A tongue-in-cheek horror story. It'll have to be done in this sketchy way or I'll never finish them. These will be on the pages with the story text. Been talking about it on the forum. Pen and wash.
