Fine artwork Lewis and the cup and saucer is it Clarice Cliff.

Thanks Denise. The woman was drawn in vague 1920's style. It was just going to be just a head and shoulders then I decided to add a background...so I was thinking Clarice Cliff for the cups but didn't copy any. If you think they might be, that's enough for me.

Yes I noticed the pottery too great touch with the ‘uppity’ lady! Love the alien worm faces, all great characters. Even the dog is sneaking at me 😂

Whatchamacallit is inspired! Love this trio.

More great characters, Lewis - love the snooty lady’s (rather disgruntled looking) dog.

Superb artwork Lew add beautifully drawn, each one has so much to look at and tells a story .

Great Lady "maintaining standards. She so much reminds me of my Grandmother ! 😀

Great drawings Lewis; I like how you approach the painting of the people in the background too; very effective.

Love the sock being held up by the cup and the food spilling over the slob’s belly. Excellent eye for observation of human characters. You have lived a very full life Lewis. Always a treat to see your work.

They’re all fabulous Lew, and as usual made me chuckle. The couch potato reminds me of a GP I used to work with who said the test of if someone really has flu, is if they’re lying on the sofa and someone passing drops a tenner on the floor, whether they can summon the energy to pick it up or not!

Wonderful illustrations Lewis, I just love to look for those lovely details you never fail to include such as the chocolate wrappers on the bloke's beer belly, the sock under the cracked tea cup - brilliant.

Great stuff Lew, Clarice Cliff and all..(-:

A superb bunch of characters.

Your fantastic characters never fail, Lewis. A smile a day keeps the blues away!

Thank you everybody, for your generous comments.

Inspirational characters Lewis and love the humour.

Wonderful artwork lewis and a smile to be had too !

Lovely work. Your characters literally leap of the page. So much personality and verve!

The lottery caught my eye Lewis…..terrific.

I can’t decide which is my favourite. May be it’s thethingamebobbit. Superb as always, Lewis!

Yes I thought Clarice Cliff as well. Soooo clever .

Great characters as always Lewis. Made me chuckle especially your couch potato!

YOUR WORK IS OUTSTANDING.....

Just so good, Lewis. All those little details and observations ....

Various sketches in pen and coloured pencil. There was a gap bottom left, so I drew a whatchamacallit.

About the Artist
Lewis Cooper

Self taught. Love drawing. Like to make pictures up, without using reference pics, often in cartoon style. I do other pictures where I do use reference. I'm knocking on a bit, born in 1940 in Greenwich, London. Retired, and loving it.
