Yes. I would cross the street if I saw him coming towards me. Wonderful portrayal.

Agreed! Love Dickens and a Christmas Carol in particular, so a win win for me and I agree with Martin.

Another really outstanding Dickens character! They are all so good, Lewis!

Oh yes, fits the description perfectly

Congratulations, a truly original interpretation of what Scrooge looked like - not the twisted, mean matchstick of a man but a full blown, unscrupulous Victorian villain.

Terrific image of the man in his setting and season

Brilliant as always !!

A perfect Christmas card Lewis! 😆

Great Dickens character, excellent colours, good one Lew.

An excellent portrayal of the character Lewis.

Brilliant portrayal Lewis of a great character from my favourite Dickens novel.

Thank you very much for your generous comments. I think this tale is his most approachable of his novels. I have an illustrated version of the book. As part of my seasonal doings I shall sit down with some port wine, some slivers of various cheeses on crackers, and read it. I’m looking forward to it.

Great character, love the colours.

He looks very scary - brilliant as usual, Lewis!

Superb work Lewis!

I had to include Ebenezer in my Dickens pics. This started out as a watercolour, but I had to give up on that and turn it into more of a drawing.

About the Artist
Lewis Cooper

Self taught. Love drawing. Like to make pictures up, without using reference pics, often in cartoon style. I do other pictures where I do use reference. I'm knocking on a bit, born in 1940 in Greenwich, London. Retired, and loving it.
